April 30, 2025 — Helogen Corporation, a U.S.-based space biology and infrastructure company, has announced the acquisition of Bengaluru-based Vellon Space Private Limited. This strategic move aims to strengthen Helogen’s global space utilization strategy and position the company as a key player in India’s growing space and pharmaceutical industries.
Vellon Space specializes in unmanned space laboratories and microgravity research, collaborating closely with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and leading academic institutions. The acquisition will enable Helogen to integrate Vellon’s local expertise, offering advanced orbital biomanufacturing and drug development technologies to Indian researchers and companies.
