Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the newly constructed passenger terminal at Patna Airport. The terminal has the capacity to handle one crore passengers annually and has been built at a cost of around ₹1,200 crore.
The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the new civil enclave at Bihta Airport, which will cost over ₹1,410 crore. Bihta, located near Patna, is rapidly emerging as an educational hub, housing institutions like IIT Patna and the proposed NIT Patna campus.
Following this, the Prime Minister held a roadshow from the airport to the Income Tax Golambar in Patna. A large crowd gathered along the route, eager to catch a glimpse of him. As his convoy passed through Bailey Road, people welcomed him by showering flowers.
