A missile-like part was found in Jethuwal village, Amritsar, causing panic. No blast or damage was reported. Police and forensics are investigating, as reported by The Tribune.

Amritsar: Tension gripped Jethuwal village on the outskirts of Amritsar after villagers discovered a part of a missile-like object lying in an agricultural field on Thursday. As reported by local daily The Tribune, the object was found without any signs of an explosion or impact.

“There was neither an explosion nor any ground damage,” confirmed Maninder Singh, SSP Amritsar Rural. He added that it’s too early to determine whether the object is of Indian or Pakistani origin.

The mysterious part was noticed by locals, who then informed the police. Teams from the police and forensic department rushed to the site and have begun their investigation.

While the origin and nature of the object remain under examination, authorities have asked residents to stay alert but not panic.
