India’s S400 Sudarshan Chakra Foils Pakistan’s Attempts To Target 15 Indian Cities Including Jammu, Srinagar & Chandigarh

Pakistan's drone and missile attacks on 15 Indian cities, including Jammu, Srinagar, and Chandigarh, were foiled by India's S-400 Sudarshan Chakra. India responded with precise counterstrikes.

Jammu: In a major provocation on the night of May 7–8, 2025, Pakistan launched a failed attempt to target Indian military installations in 15 key cities, including Jammu, Srinagar, Chandigarh, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj. The attack, carried out using drones and missiles, was swiftly neutralised by India’s advanced S-400 Sudarshan Chakra, Air Defence Systems, and the Integrated Counter UAS Grid.

Addressing a press briefing on Operation Sindoor, the Indian Ministry of Defence stated that India’s response was measured, focused, and non-escalatory. It emphasized that no Pakistani military installations were targeted initially, and any attack on Indian forces would prompt a suitable response.

Following the failed strikes, Indian Armed Forces retaliated proportionately by striking Pakistani air defence systems at several locations. It has been confirmed that a major air defence installation in Lahore was neutralised.

Simultaneously, Pakistan intensified unprovoked firing across the Line of Control (LoC), targeting areas like Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar, and Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir, using heavy artillery and mortars. Sadly, these attacks claimed 16 innocent Indian lives, including three women and five children.

India was compelled to respond decisively to suppress the Pakistani fire and prevent further civilian casualties. The Indian Armed Forces reiterated their commitment to non-escalation, provided Pakistan respects the same.
