India Intercepts Pakistan’s Fatah Ballistic Missile Aimed at Delhi

India intercepted Pakistan’s Fatah-2 missile aimed at Delhi. In response, India carried out strikes on key Pakistani cities and airbases. Tensions continue to escalate rapidly.

New Delhi: Tensions between India and Pakistan have reached a boiling point as reports emerge that Pakistan launched its Fatah-2 ballistic missile toward Delhi. According to top government sources cited by News18, the missile was successfully intercepted over Sirsa, averting a major threat to the national capital. If confirmed, this interception marks a significant blow to Pakistan’s offensive capabilities.

Sources reveal that shortly after the launch, Pakistan experienced technical failures with several air assets. Meanwhile, Indian surveillance drones were observed over key Pakistani cities, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Lahore, and Peshawar—signaling heightened vigilance and strategic oversight by India.

The conflict escalated late Friday night and into the early hours of Saturday, prompting India to conduct retaliatory strikes. News18 reports that Indian forces targeted Islamabad, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, including three major Air Force bases.

The airbases reportedly hit include Nur Khan in Rawalpindi, Rafiqi in Shorkot, and Murid in Chakwal. Pakistan’s DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry confirmed the Indian strikes, stating that while Nur Khan and Rafiqi were among the targets, all Pakistani Air Force assets remain unharmed.

As developments unfold rapidly, both sides appear locked in a high-stakes standoff.
