SRINAGAR: A series of coordinated drone attacks targeting key military installations, including Srinagar Airport and the Awantipora Air Base in south Kashmir, were successfully thwarted late Friday night, top officials confirmed.
The attempted strikes came just a day after Indian forces intercepted an aggressive bid by the Pakistan military to target Indian defense posts using drones and missile systems, further escalating regional tensions.
Security sources revealed that unmanned aerial vehicles were spotted at 26 sensitive locations stretching from Baramulla in north Kashmir to Bhuj in the south, both along the International Border and the Line of Control—signaling a broader pattern of aerial incursions. (With Inputs PTI)
