Jammu, 9 May (Jammu Observer) – Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, drove from Srinagar to Jammu today to assess the situation following the recent shelling incidents. His first visit was to the Government Medical College (GMC) in Jammu, where he inquired about the well-being of those injured in the shelling.
Accompanied by Advisor Nasir Wani, the Chief Minister took the time to speak with the victims and express his concerns about their recovery.
Later, CM Omar Abdullah visited several shelter camps that are currently housing families displaced by the shelling. He spoke to the displaced people, listened to their concerns, and assured them that his government stands firmly with them in these challenging times.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to ensure that all necessary facilities and support are provided without delay to those affected by the violence and displacement caused by the shelling.
