NEW DELHI (May 13) – In a surprise morale-boosting move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Adampur air base in Punjab early Tuesday morning, where he was warmly received by Indian Air Force personnel.

Official sources confirmed that the Prime Minister was briefed on operational preparedness and later engaged in candid conversations with air warriors stationed at the base. “PM Modi went to the Adampur air base early morning. He was briefed by Air Force personnel and he also interacted with our brave jawans,” a source said.

The visit comes amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, following the Indian Air Force’s precision strikes on terror camps across the border on May 7 under Operation Sindoor. The operation, widely hailed as a strategic success, has garnered praise for its swift execution and minimal collateral damage.

Modi’s gesture is being seen as a symbolic show of solidarity with the armed forces at a time when national security remains in sharp focus. His presence at the base underscored the government’s commitment to the defence establishment and its personnel.
