Jammu — Jammu experienced a complete power blackout for the second consecutive night on Friday, as sirens echoed across the city, intensifying the atmosphere of unease amid ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan.
Confirming the situation, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah posted on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Blackout in Jammu now. Sirens can be heard across the city.”
In a subsequent update, he added, “Intermittent sounds of blasts, probably heavy artillery, can now be heard from where I am.”
Citizens are urged to remain calm and follow any emergency advisories issued through official channels.
