Operation Sindoor: 24 Missiles, 25 Minutes, 70 Terrorists Dead in India’s Precision Strike

Operation Sindoor: India Strikes Back with 24 Missiles, 70 Terrorists Killed in 25-Minute Precision Attack Across Pakistan and PoJK After Pahalgam Massacre.

New Delhi, May 7 — In a stunning show of military precision and coordination, India executed a powerful counterterrorism operation in the early hours of Tuesday, launching 24 missile strikes that dismantled nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The operation, codenamed Operation Sindoor, lasted just 25 minutes—from 1:05 AM to 1:30 AM—but left a massive impact.

The joint strike by the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy was a direct and calculated response to the brutal April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives, including that of a Nepali citizen.

At a press briefing in New Delhi, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, flanked by Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, called the operation “measured, proportionate, and necessary.” “We acted with restraint, but with resolve,” Misri said. “Our objective was clear—to dismantle the infrastructure that enables cross-border terrorism.”

Colonel Qureshi emphasized that Operation Sindoor marked a significant shift in India’s counterterror approach. “For decades, Pakistan has allowed terror networks to thrive on its soil and in PoJK. This mission was about more than retaliation—it was about prevention,” she said.

Sources confirmed that India had credible intelligence pointing to imminent attacks being planned by terror outfits, prompting swift and decisive action.

Targeted Terror Sites

The missile strikes hit suspected terror camps in Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Rawalakot, Chakswari, Bhimber, Neelum Valley, Jhelum, Chakwal, and Bahawalpur. Intelligence reports had long linked these areas to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), both groups with a history of deadly attacks on Indian soil.

Of the nine sites, five were located in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and four within Pakistan’s mainland. Bahawalpur, the reported headquarters of JeM, was among the key targets. Muzaffarabad and Bhimber were also specifically chosen due to their roles as infiltration and logistics hubs.

Deadly Precision, Minimal Collateral

Government sources say the strikes killed over 70 terrorists and injured more than 60. The mission utilized a combination of ground-launched and air-launched missiles, guided by advanced surveillance drones for real-time coordination.

Precision-guided munitions, including satellite-guided glide bombs and laser-designated missiles, were used to maximize accuracy and minimize civilian casualties. “Every target was verified. Every strike was calibrated,” said a defense official familiar with the operation.

Reconnaissance confirmed the destruction of command centers, training grounds, arms depots, and staging areas. Notably, no Pakistani military bases were targeted, underscoring India’s intention to avoid escalation while firmly addressing terrorism.

A Message Delivered

Operation Sindoor wasn’t just about punishing perpetrators—it was about sending a message. “This strike speaks for the families who’ve lost loved ones to terror. It tells those who shelter terrorists: India will not wait to be struck again,” Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said.

The nation watched as its armed forces acted with surgical precision and unified strength, delivering justice in just 25 minutes—but making clear that India’s patience has its limits.
